Baby It's Cold Outside

Hello all!  Today I have done a multi-purpose card.  This lovely lady comes from our friends at Sassy Studio Designs Freebie Friday.  The image is "Baby It's Cold Outside".  They have issued a challenge for the freebie on Paper Craft Planet.  They also have a challenge on the SSD site to make a card using Thanksgiving colors but not for Thanksgiving.  You have to use brown for turkey, red for cranberries, white for mashed potatoes and orange for pumpkin.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING EVERYONE

Happy Thanksgiving to all of you.  This time of year we all take a look at what we are thankful for and I am no different.  I am so very grateful to have my faith in Christ and to have my family.  I have now been in Ohio for a whole year.  I miss my friends in Georgia but having my family so near and being able to have them in my life again is so wonderful.  

I received this image as from Sassy Studio Designs on their Freebie Friday.  They have this each Friday and if you are a part of Paper Craft Planet with SSD you can access a free image each Friday.  I am thankful for the generosity of SSD to give this to us each week.

Sympathy Card

Recently my sister-in-law lost her father.  He passed away after a year of suffering with cancer.  I have been trying to help her as much as I can this past week and prior to his passing as she wished to spend his last moments with him.  It was special for their family as he had all of his children and his wife surrounding him when he passed.  I made this card for her mother.  Inside there is a sentiment from Kahlil Gibran.  It says "Oh heart, if one should say to you that the soul perishes like the body, answer that the flower withers but the seed remains".  I thought that was a very nice way to say that only your body dies not your spirit.
