Most of you know that Rebecca is my sister.  It makes it much more touching that she would put me in her top five.  Thanks Beck.  I love you too.

CHRISTMAS IN FEBRUARY




It's DARE TO BE SASSY THURSDAY at Sassy Studio Designs.  This weeks challenge is to make a Christmas card using traditional colors.  I love Christmas!  It's my favorite time of year.  Everyone seems to be just a little bit nicer.  

I have made my card using Holiday Victorian Sassy.  Isn't she just a beautiful image?  I colored her with Whisper Strokes markers and some Stickles from Ranger then popped her up on 3D foam squares from Scrapbook Adhesives.  I love sparkly things.  The papers come from Martha Stewart, The Paper Co., Bazzill and some I had in my scrap pile.  The pearls are from Recollections.  The paper tape and flower are from Martha Stewart also.  

This image is one of the images I won at SSD.  I have received so many images this month by being the guest designer.  It has been a lot of fun.  I hope to be able to do it again some day.  The ladies over at SSD are just fabulous, supportive and so talented.  Make sure to go over to SSD and see what the other designers have come up with.

Valentine Roses


Hello everyone.  Can you believe I have made another Valentine card.  This one is a lovely bouquet of roses from Anji's Antics.  Anji gives away free images every day.  They are very lovely images too.  She is having her first ever challenge.  

I colored this image with Whisper Strokes markers and Stickles from Ranger.  The design comes from Unscripted Sketches.  I used papers from The Paper Co. and DCWV.  The border punch is from Martha Stewart and the corner punch is Fiskars.  I used ribbon from Darice and the embellishments are from Recollections.  

My lovely daughter Alicia helped me with this one.  Gotta give props where they are due.

SASSY NURSE


IT'S FINALLY HERE.  RELEASE DAY FOR SASSY STUDIO DESIGNS.  

I am so happy to let you know that SSD is having not only a release of these gorgeous new Sassy girls but also a blog hop and a party chat!  You should have come here from my fabulously talented sister Rebecca.  If not be sure to check the hop and go back to her blog.  She's great!  

If you haven't been to my blog before - this month I was chosen to be the guest designer for SSD.  It has been so much fun.  I received lots of free images and got to work with some wonderful women.  I just love SSD.  I follow them all the time.  

Isn't Lindsay just awesome!  She created so many images from the suggestions that were given by all of you. What talent!  I'm loving all the creations that the DT has made also.

My image is Sassy Nurse Heather.  She is such a hottie!

I colored this gorgeous Sassy Nurse with Whisper Strokes markers and some Stickles from Ranger.  I got the design for the card from My Time Made Easy.  The papers are from The Paper Co. and some generics from my stash 'o' scraps.  I did the sentiment myself.

You Little Devil



Here's another fabulous freebie from the very talented Lindsay over at Sassy Studio Designs.  This little lady is Little Honey Devil Debbie.  Isn't she just gorgeous.  Every week Lindsay gives away a wonderful freebie over at Paper Craft Planet.  She is just so wonderful.  

This week SSD is having a sneak peek at their new line.  The release will be tomorrow along with a blog hop and a party chat Saturday night at 10pm EST with all the Design Team.  You can pick their brains about any technique or design you want.  

I'm so excited about this.  I just love SSD.  I can't wait each Friday to get my new freebie.  Being the guest designer has even been better.  I even got to pick out five new images along with all the images I received to make cards with.  You all over at SSD are just fabulous!

I tried something new on this card.  I found a challenge sketch to use from Totally Gorjuss. I think I like using sketches.  Instead of designing I only had to work on which papers to use.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY KATHY


It's Dare To Be Sassy Thursday at Sassy Studio Designs.  Today is Kathy's birthday.  She is one of the DT over at SSD.  So in her honor today's challenge is "Happy Birthday".  I chose Holiday Belle Honey to make my birthday card.  Head on over to SSD and check out what the rest of the DT has come up with.

If you have been following my sister's blog you will see one of the papers I have chosen is in the same pack as hers.  She recently let me know this was mom's favorite paper so I had to go out and get a stack also.  It is just gorgeous.  Stop by her blog and check out the album she is making.  It's just so beautiful.

To color Belle I used my Whisper Strokes markers and Stickles by Ranger.  The papers are from DCWV (mom's favorite) La Creme Stack, The Paper Co. and some generics from my stash 'o' scraps.  The design sketch is from The Sweet Stop. I have to say I am liking using sketches.  The sentiment comes from Desert Diva, pearls from Queen & Co. and the ribbon from Darice.

I just found this great blog giveaway called Liva's Crafts.  Isn't this just a fabulous set! Howdy Pardner



Release day is getting closer and closer.  Here is another new image from Sassy Studio Designs! Isn't she just fabulous!  This is Cowgirl Sassy.  She is part of the February Release.  Lindsay has been working so hard on all of these new images and she is doing such a wonderful job on them.  Oh to be so talented. Be sure to hop on over to SSD and check out what the other girls have been doing.

It's been fun being a Guest Designer this month.  I have been very busy.  I don't know how these women come up with so many fabulous designs all the time.  It takes me forever to get one card done.  My hats off to you all for being so great with all the new and different ideas you come up with.

To make this card I looked for another sketch to help with the design and found this one at "Just Us Girls".  Making so many cards so quickly I wanted to make sure I had several different designs.  I colored her with Whisper Strokes markers and of course added some Stickles from Ranger.  I just love to sparkle it up a bit.  The papers come from my scraps pile.  I used Bazzill, Bo Bunny, The Paper Co., and some generics.  The embellishment is from Bo Bunny and the ribbon from Darice.

My Very First Design Team Post


Sassy Studio Designs has chosen me as a guest designer!  I'm so excited.  I will be busy with them for the month of February.  This is my first assignment.  Isn't she soooo sexy!  This lovely lady is Lingerie Lindsay.  She is being offered for FREE!  All you have to do is be a member of SSD Paper Craft Planet.  Every Friday you can get a fabulous freebie.  

I just love all the images Lindsay makes for us.  All Sassy Women from all aspects of life.  I get all excited every Friday to see what image Lindsay is putting out for everyone.  She is just soooo talented! And soooo generous.  She does all this every Friday and they are free!

To color Lingerie Lindsay I used Whisper Strokes markers and some Stickles from Ranger.  I added some pearls from Queen & Co. and a button from BoBunny.  The feather and key I had in my scraps. I used paper from The Paper Co. then distressed them and some paper from my scrap stash with a waterfall image. The sentiment is from Desert Diva and it is cut with my EK Success punch.
