RAPUNZEL'S CHRISTMAS CARD

Hello and welcome to another fabulous challenge at

Today we have one of my favorites as a sponsor

Saturated Canary

Our challenge is Fairytales.   I so love these images.  They are always so beautiful and fun and all the hair oh my!  Kristen certainly is a talented lady.  For my card I have chosen Rapunzel.  The hair gave it away right.  I've colored her with Copic and Whisper Strokes markers.  I also added Glossy Accents and Stickles to her hair.  The sketch used is from Simon Says Stamp.

.

The papers are from Bearly Mine, My Creative Side, Bazzill and some generic.  I've added pearls from Kaiser and a decorated wreath from JoAnn Craft Essentials. The ribbon tape is from Martha. The sentiment I made on Word, cut with EK Success and surrounded it with Stickles.  Lastly the paper in the center is a scene from the Disney movie Tangled which of course is their Rapunzel movie.

I hope you have enjoyed my card and maybe it has inspired you to make something yourself.  Please go over to Crafting When We Can and check out all the other fabulous creations.  Hope to see you in the challenge this week!

SASSY SPONSORS C.R.A.F.T. CHALLENGE

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

Hello everyone and welcome to another fabulous challenge!  Today SASSY STUDIO DESIGNS is sponsoring:

Our challenge this week is "Brown, Aqua & Pink".

Since the Christmas season is upon us, I chose to do another Christmas card.  You can't have too many.  I always seem to be struggling at the last minute to get them done.  For this reason I have decided all my cards will be for Christmas until I have enough (or the challenge requires otherwise).  Since these colors do not scream Christmas, I made a non-traditional Christmas card with one of the new images from Sassy Studio Designs.  This one is called Santa Pinup.  Isn't she just gorgeous!  I think this is my favorite of the new set.

I have colored my image with Copic, Stampin' Up and Whisper Strokes markers.  I added Glossy Accents to her belt and boots, some Stickles on her eyes and mixed into Liquid Applique for her fur.  I wasn't sure if it would turn out right.  Silly me started it before trying it on a separate sheet of paper.  I think it turned out OK, don't you?  The design comes from the 2 Sisters Challenge Blog.

sketch november 2012

I rotated it and added a small amount of embellishing.  The design papers are from PaperCraft Inspirations & Bearly Mine, the other from Graphic 45.  The pearls are Inky Impressions, the ribbon Darice and the flower is Prima Flowers.  The sentiment I did on Word.

Please stop over to the SSD Challenge Blog and see what the rest of the DT have created then get crafting and join us in the challenge at C.R.A.F.T. Challenge.  Hope to see you there.

SASSY CHRISTMAS RELEASE

It's here!!!  The SASSY STUDIO DESIGNS RELEASE

THE JOY OF GIVING

It's my pleasure to introduce Snowman Pinup from SSD.  Isn't she just gorgeous!  There are five new releases.  Each of my Sassy Sisters has a different new image to show you.  Our challenge for this release is Vintage or Shabby Chic.  This is a difficult challenge for me.  We were given a definition but I still struggle with this one.  I hope I have done it well.

I have colored her with Copic and Whisper Strokes markers and a white gel pen.  I added some Stickles and Glossy Accents to give her that sparkle and shine look. Then I added some Liquid Applique to give her boots the furry look.  The sketch I chose comes from Christmas Challenges with Sketches.  You will have to go over to their site to see the sketch.  It also has a twist to add stitching real or faux.  Mine are faux stitches.

Each of the design papers come from Bearly Mine and then used my distressing tool to add the vintage look.  The others are Bazzill and my box of scraps.  For the embellishing I used pearls from Queen & Co., die cuts from Spellbinders and the poinsettias I received in a candy win from non other that my Sassy Sister Kim Kelley.

Please head over to Sassy Studio Designs and see all the other beautiful creations that my Sassy Sisters have created for your inspiration then get out your stuff and create something of your own to enter our challenge.

Here are the challenges I have entered into:

RED & WHITE CHRISTMAS

Welcome to another Sassy Studio Designs Sponsorship.  Today SSD is proud to be sponsoring Penny's Paper-Crafty Challenge.  The challenge is "Lots of Layers".

As you can see, I have lots of layers on this one.  To make this card I used Russia Honey from SSD.  She is so ready for winter no matter what country you put her in.  I colored her with Copic and Whisper Strokes markers.  I also used a white gel pen and some Liquid Applique for her fur hat and waist.  She needed some sparkle and shine so I added Stickles to her vest and some Glossy Accents to her hair.  I think it just brightens her up.

The sketch is from The Sketchy Challenges.

The design papers I used come from Papercraft Inspirations.  The others are Bazzill and my scrap stash.  The ribbon is also from my scraps.  It's always nice to use those up.

These are the challenges I have entered:

Penny's Paper-Crafty - Lots of layers
Pile It On #45 - Make it sparkle
The Ribbon Girl - Add sparkle
The Pink Elephant #173 - Use your fave coloring medium
Sweet Stamps #90 - Christmas
Crafty Ribbons #31 - Christmas

Really Reasonable Ribbon #59 - Winter holiday & ribbon

ANGEL CHRISTMAS

Another Christmas card to show you.  Isn't this just the best time of year.  I know it's not past Thanksgiving yet but I am feeling Christmas in the air.  So with that out there how could I not make another Christmas card.  Besides I don't think I am anywhere near the cards I need to have by the end of this month.

I picked this image from Beary Wishes.  I thought she was just so sweet looking.  She is colored with Copic and Whisper Strokes markers.  I also used a white gel pen and gold metallic pen.  I added some Stickles (what angel is complete without some sparkle) and some Liquid Applique to give her a dress some fur then popped her up with some 3D foam tape.

The sketch I used comes from Papertake Weekly

sketch #73

I turned the sketch as you can see.  The papers I used come from Bearly Mine.  My picture doesn't show the details very well on these but they have stars and snowflakes all over them.  I thought they were just so pretty and went with the angel.  The others are from The Paper Co. and my stash and scrap box.  Then I distressed the white with some Tim Holtz distress ink.  The pearls are Queen & Co. and the sentiment I made on Word.  Finally the lace and flowers are from a candy win and I don't know who makes them.

I have entered the following challenges:

The Cutie Pie #30 - Distress
Cute Card Thursday #241 - Fairies & Angels
Brown Sugar #14 - Pearls & Lace
Totally Paper Crafts #141 - Twinkle, twinkle Christmas Star
Sweet Stampin' - All that glitters
By the Cute and Girly November - Twinkle, twinkle little star

Thanks for stopping to visit my blog.  Have a great day!

IT'S A SASSY CHRISTMAS

is sponsoring Sunday Sketch & Stamp this week.  Here is the sketch:

For this card I am using Ellie the Elf from SSD.  Isn't she just adorable!  I wanted to do something different with her hair, to make it not a regular color.  I wanted silver but alas my markers failed me.  I think it came out OK though.

To color her I used Copic and Whisper Strokes markers.  I added some Stickles for that added sparkle then popped her up on some 3D foam tape.  The design papers come from Papercraft Inspirations.  The others are Bazzill and my scraps.  The die cut is Spellbinders and the sentiment I made on Word.

Please go on over to SSD and check out the other DT fabulous cards.  I hope you'll get an inspiration, come back and join the challenge.

I have entered these challenges:

Sunday Sketch & Stamp - Sketch
Creative Inspirations #187 - Let's celebrate
Fab 'n' Funky #145 - Die cut / punches
ATC's and Cards with Attitude #26 - Add a sentiment
