Welcome to a new Dare To Be Sassy Thursday!  This week the challenge is to make a "Christmas Thank You" card.  I can't think of anyone I need to thank more than my Heavenly Father.  Even though this card will never mail out, it will be a reminder to me to always be thankful for everything no matter how small.

I so love this image.  Her name is Elizabeth from Sassy Studio Designs.  I colored her with Copic and Whisper Strokes markers then added some Stickles and Glossy Accents.  I also used a white gel pen for her gloves.  The design is a sketch from

CRAFTING WHEN WE CAN #34

Welcome to another challenge at Crafting When We Can.  Today we are being sponsored by

Dilly Beans Stamps

We are having one of my favorite challenges:  a sketch.

I like sketches because they give inspiration.  I don't think I could have come up with this layout on my own.  Thanks Ang it's great!

My image from Dilly Beans Digi Stamps is called Mimi's Candy Cane Framed.  Isn't she just adorable!  When I saw her I couldn't help but think of little Cindy Lou Who.  So with that in mind I wanted to do something that would fit into Whoville.  I know she doesn't really look like a Who but that's what I thought of when I saw her.

I colored her with Copic, Stampin' Up and Whisper Strokes markers.  She looked like a green hair kinda girl so I thought I would go with some non-traditional color schemes too.  The papers are from Bazzill, Create with TLC, Papercraft Inspirations, Paper Pizazz and some generics from my stash.  The snowflake punch is a new one I got from Martha Stewart.  I've used it a couple times now.  Just loving it for embellishing.  Lastly I have added some Liquid Applique and Stickles.

Please hop over to the Crafting When We Can blog and see what the other girls have created for you.  Don't worry, since this is a fortnight challenge you have two weeks to create your card.  Christmas can be enjoyed and you still have time to craft.

These are the challenges I have entered:

Stamp and Create - Sparkly Christmas
Sarah Hurley #75 - Christmas
Simon Says - Merry Christmas
Craft Us Crazy #33 - Merry Christmas
Di's Digi Designs - Christmas
Card Mania #10 - Snowflakes
House of Gilli #48 - Add sparkle
Songbird #10 - Merry Christmas
Crafting for all Seasons #42 - Green & red + glitter/sparkle

Hope you enjoyed your visit!

MERRY CHRISTMAS

HAPPY BIRTHDAY CASSANDRA

It's Thursday again and so that means we are having another

This challenge is "Blue Christmas".  I took this opportunity to make a card for my eldest daughter Cassandra.  She went away to go to college and decided she was going to stay in North Carolina after her graduation this past week.  This is so far away as I am in Ohio.  I miss her so very much and so each year she is not with us is a blue Christmas for me.  It also happens to be her birthday on the 23rd.  She was my Christmas present 23 years ago.  I've always said she is my gift from God.  She is adopted and the opportunity to adopt her just sort of fell into my lap.  I brought her home from the hospital on Christmas day.  I could not have asked for a better gift.

To make this card I used Victorian Holiday Sassy from Sassy Studio Designs.  She is colored with Copic and Whisper Strokes markers.  I also added Stickles to sparkle her up.  The papers are Bazzill and Bearly Mine.  I used a die cut from Stampin' Up and a punch from Martha Stewart.  The pearls are from Queen & Co.  I used ribbon from Offray and Darice.

Don't forget to go to the SSD blog and see what the other Sassy Girls have created for you.  Hope to see you in the challenge this week.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY CORTLYNN

I'm here today to show you my Christmas birthday card to my niece Cortlynn.  She has just turned 11 but didn't get her letter to Hogwarts.  So sad.  Oh well.  Life goes on.

It's so tough to have a birthday in December and she is a lucky one.  Her mother took her and her little sister to an indoor hotel and waterpark!  How cool is that!

My daughter also has a birthday in December and I have to get going on that one as she lives pretty far away and I have to get it mailed out.  She just graduated from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.  What a name.  I'm so very proud of her.

For this card I used an image from Pixie Dust Studio.  I thought she was just so cute and Cortlynn loves cupcakes (although her favorite is chocolate).  She is colored with Copic, Whisper Strokes and Stampin' Up markers.  The papers are all from my Stash 'O Scraps so I'm not sure where they came from.  The ribbon is from Offray and the flowers also from my stash.

I hope she likes the card.

I have entered into the following challenges:

Cupcake Inspirations #190 - Photo inspiration
Pile It On #49 - Pile on the embellishments
Bearly Mine #65 - Anything goes

DARE TO BE SASSY THURSDAY #155

Hello everyone and welcome to another

Today our challenge is a sketch

This was a bit of a challenge for me as I don't have a circle die cut.  I tried several times to cut a circle out and failed finally settling on the scallop.  I was a bit off with the centering but oh well still OK I think.

For my card I chose Sassy Studio Designs Masquerade 3.  I love the way her dress flows.  This image is about to retire so hurry up and get her before it's too late.

I colored her with Copic and Whisper Strokes markers.  I added a bit of Stickles and Glossy Accents.  The papers come from Bazzill, Create with TLC, Papercraft Inspirations and generic.  I am proud to say all the paper came from my stash.  Even the digi papers were printed on paper I had in stash.  The gems I added are from Kaiser however they were supplied to me in a candy from my lovely Sassy Sister Kim. Thanks Kim, I love them.  The sentiment is from Joann Craft Essentials and I have no memory of where the poinsettias came from.  They were the last I had so I am going to have to find some more.

Please hop over to Sassy Studio Designs and check out all the other creations made by all the lovely ladies over there.  Hope to see you in the challenge this week.

LITTLE RED RIDING HOOD

Welcome to another fabulous challenge at

Today we are playing BINGO!

As you may be able to tell, I have chosen to go across the middle.  I used paw prints (how could I not use them with this image), orange and girly.

We are sponsored by Milk Coffee this fortnight.

MilkCoffee

They have given me this lovely image to use.  It's Little Red Riding Hood.  The funny thing is I had that nickname when I was a small child.  I had a red hooded cape and with my red hair it was an obvious choice.  To color her I used my Copic and Whisper Strokes markers with added Glossy Accents and Stickles.  The sketch is from Sketch N Stash.

I didn't vary from the sketch because when I was finished with the sketch part it just looked complete to me.  I added some pearls from Queen & Co. but that was it.  The papers I used are Bazzill, DCWV and some generic all from my stash.  I just love getting to use stuff I already have instead of going to buy more.  I found some wolf paw prints and pictures off the internet.  Don't you just love those eyes!  My daughter is Team Jacob so she just loved these wolves.  I used a Spellbinders die cut to cut out the wolf.

I hope you have enjoyed my card and remember to go to the CWWC challenge blog to check out all of the other inspirational cards that my crafting sister's have made for you then get going on your own creation to play bingo with us!

I have entered these challenges:

The Pink Elephant #177 - Make it girly

DARE TO BE SASSY THURSDAY #154

It's rotation time and I am now on the Dare to be Sassy Thursday team.  This is my first DTBST card.  Our challenge this week is "Let's Celebrate".  What better thing to celebrate than Christmas!  It's the MOST WONDERFUL TIME OF THE YEAR!

I just love Christmas.  So many people seem to be kinder and more generous.  And of course we are celebrating the birth of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.  I just love the huge birthday party He gets each year.

This lovely image is Elizabeth from Sassy Studio Designs.  Isn't she gorgeous!  She is one of my favorites.   I just love her innocent, demure look.  I colored her with Copic and Whisper Strokes markers then added a bit of Stickles on the top of her dress and her eyes.  The sketch is from Our Daily Bread Designs.

The papers used are Bazzill, Create with TLC, Paper Pizzazz then I lined with Stickles.  Usually I layer it up but I thought the Stickles made a nice substitute.  The sparkly ribbon I chose is from American Crafts.  It's actually my daughter's ribbon but she kindly allowed me to borrow it for this.  The pearls I added come from Queen & Co.  Finally the snowflakes are from Recollections.

I hope you like this and please go over to see the other Sassy inspirations at Sassy Studio Designs and get busy.  The challenge will end on Wednesday.

I have entered these challenges:

Our Daily Bread #133 - Sketch
Pile It On #49 - Pile on the embellishments

Songbird #9 - Deeper shade of blue
Clear It Out - Christmas

THE GRINCH GAME

JOIN ME IN THE GRINCH GAME

Did you know The Grinch lives on snowy Mount Crumpit, a mountain north of friendly Whoville. The Grinch keeps to himself, living only with his dog, Max. Characterized as having a heart "two sizes too small," the Grinch is annoyed by the sounds of Happy Who-Stampers. One Who-Stamper in particular bothered him more than any other, Laura Lou Who.
363 days in Whoville prision gave him plenty of time to think about her and those Happy Who-Stampers and how they put him away last year. With an evil smile on his face he gathered his thoughts, and laid out a plan. One quick whistle and he escaped once again. Outside the prison walls he hitched up his sleigh and was on his Grinch Grinchy way.

LauraLou Who reported a break-in to Whoville police on Tuesday. After an initial investigation, police have started to compile a list of items missing. As of 6am this morning the list includes the following:

CV125 Bah Humbug Stamp Set - valued at $15.00
Copic Sketch Marker 12 piece EX-6 Set - valued at $85.00
Stipple Brush Gift Set - valued at $15.00

Whoville Police are asking Happy Who-Stampers to become Honorary Deputy Patrol Officers and help capture the Grinch.

The more patrol officers they acquire, the more missing item will be found - (that's prizes for us).

Sign up starts today. Prizes will start on Monday and continue through December 10th.

Take a quick trip over to Creative Vision to get the details!!!
