LOVE IS IN THE AIR

Here we are at my last

It's time to change to the Fabulous Freebie Fridays.  So here goes with the last one.

Our challenge today is "Love is in the Air".  For this I chose France Honey from Sassy Studio Designs.  I colored her with Copic and Whisper Strokes markers.  And of course I had to add some Stickles and Glossy Accents.  The sketch is from Papertake Weekly.

I used papers from The Paper Co., Bazzill, Core' dinations and my scraps.  The doily is from Ruza!  I distressed it with Tim Holtz Distress Inks.  The flowers are from a candy win, hearts are from Recollections, charm from Making Memories, embossing folder from Darice and ribbon from Martha Stewart.  Unfortunately I couldn't get the ribbon to stay straight.  Hopefully it just adds character.

I hope you have enjoyed your visit.  Head over to the SSD blog and check out all the other gorgeous creations from my Sassy Sisters.  Don't forget to get out your crafting tiara and join us in the challenge this week.

Thanks from stopping by!

SASSY STUDIO DESIGNS NEW RELEASE

Hello everyone and welcome to Sassy Studio Designs Release Weekend!  We are having a blog hop so you should have arrived here from the multi-talented Mary.  If not please head over to the beginning of the hop here.

Lindsay has created some gorgeously wicked new images for you.  I am displaying Maleficent Sassy from Sleeping Beauty.

The theme this time around is....
Going Forward....Looking Back!
We each made a project using one or more of the following favorite of ours of 2012....

Our challenge is to use some of our favorite things.  If you know me that would be Stickles and Glossy Accents.  I just love to sparkle and shine!  I also love pearls and one of my favorite colors is purple (2nd to green).  Next I love to use sketches also.  They help me to make my cards all different.

I colored Maleficent with Copic and Whisper Strokes markers.  The sketch is from Willow Sketchie.

The papers are from Create with TLC and my Stash 'O Scraps.  The photo behind Maleficent is of lightening that I found on line.  Maleficent in the cartoon wore purple and black.  I thought this photo was perfect for her.  After all she is a witch.  The ribbon is Darice, the pearls from Queen & Co. and the charm is from Inky Impressions.

Now for your challenge.  At each of the blogs you will leave a comment.  The winner will be chosen at random from the comments left.

For the rest of my challenge we are to include our favorite project from 2012.  I have chosen

CRAFTING WHEN WE CAN #36

Welcome to another fortnightly challenge at

Today we are sponsored by

Today I am using the image "Kiss the Chef".  Isn't she just adorable!  When I saw this image I could not help but think of my nieces (Cortlynn & Cara).  They have chefs hats and dress up to be cooks.  Aren't they so cute!

Our challenge today is "Strawberries and Cream".  I couldn't resist using a new strawberry stamp I got from Itty Bitty.  I've colored with Copic, Whisper Strokes and Stampin' Up markers.  I've added some Stickles to the strawberry and the little girl.  I've used a sketch from

Sketch N Stash

The papers I've used are from Bazzill, generic and some fabulous papers I received from my Secret Santa Ruza.  I've embellished with pearls from Darice, gems from Recollections, buttons from Bo Bunny and my stash and ribbon from C&G.  I've had all these for what seems forever.  If I hadn't kept the packaging I wouldn't have a clue where they came from.  I've also used some distress ink from Tim Holtz.

Now go and check out all the other fabulous creations we have for you at CWWC then get out your crafting tiaras and join us in the challenge.  I say this because my sister and my daughter both have crafting tiaras.  My daughter wants it to be just her and her Aunt Beck's thing so I can't have one.

Thanks for coming to see me today and I hope you have a wonderful day.

I HAVE THE BEST SISTER EVER!!!

This week my sister Becky (Rebecca of Sydney's Sentiments) got me some new toys to play with.  I wanted to share this photo with you before I opened anything.

I saw some of these on Our Daily Bread in a new release and told her how pretty they were and she got them for me.  The others were an added bonus.  Isn't she just the best!!!!

Love you Beck!

DTBST #160

Welcome to another Dare To Be Sassy Thursday!

On my card today I have used Miranda Sassy from the Sassy in the City collection at Sassy Studio Designs. Today's challenge is to use "Ribbons, Rhinestones & Roses".  I thought I had a bunch of rhinestones but I was mistaken.  Then I also thought it was Tuesday when it was Wednesday and I had not gotten my card done for you today.  Needless to say this was a bit rushed and I may go back and add some more to it.  I feel as though something is missing.

Most of the items used were in my stash without names on them except the following:

Sketch - Sketch Saturday
Sentiment - Lost & Found (this came from my secret Santa Ruza)
Die cut - Spellbinders
Stamp, and distress ink - Tim Holtz
Stickles - Ranger
Paper - Recollections and stash
Ribbon - Celebrate It

Now head on over to SSD blog and see what fabulous cards my Sassy Sisters have made for you.  It doesn't stop there.  Get out your toys and make your own entry for the challenge.  The winner each week will receive two Sassy images of their choice.  Don't forget if you use a Sassy image you get an extra entry to win.

Thanks for visiting and have a peachy keen day!

Welcome to a new year and a new challenge at

Our challenge this week is "Out with the old and in with the new".

For this challenge I chose French Honey from Sassy Studio Designs.  I colored her with Copic and Whisper Strokes markers.  I added Stickles, both green and red, to sparkle her up.

The papers I used are from a Christmas Candy I won from Studio D.  They are from October Afternoon (new).  I received a lot of papers I can't wait to use.  The other papers were some generic that I have had for a while (old).  The ribbon is from C&G and I have had it for quite a while also (old).

Now the best for last.  We had a Secret Santa at SSD this year.  You can see from a previous post how many beautiful things I received from my Secret Santa Ruza!  She sent me these gorgeous crocheted flowers that she did herself! They are so pretty.  She also sent me some beautiful swirls too from Want 2 Scrap.   If you haven't seen it, go back to the previous post to see all the wonderful things I received.
