FREEBIE FRIDAY!

Welcome all to another Fabulous Freebie Friday from

I am so sad to inform you that our FFF leader has had to resign for family reasons.  Unfortunately, with her is also going Freebie Friday.  Lindsay has made the decision to discontinue the feature with her departure.   We will miss Regan so very much and also our Fridays with you.  I'm sure you will see the occasional freebie come out here and continue to support each other out here in blogland.  So with our last image for now, we are pleased to bring you Little Red Riding Hood.  Isn't she just adorable!  I colored her with Copic and Whisper Strokes markers.  I also added some Stickles.  I just can't resist them.  The sketch comes from

The papers come from Bazzill, Papercraft Inspirations and generic.  I used some Tim Holtz distress ink on the paper and the floral which are Prima Flowers.  The ribbon is Kaiser Craft and the sentiment is a stamp from Stampendous.

I hope you will head over to the Paper Craft Planet and use your free image to join us in the challenge.  Also check out all the gorgeous cards our DT have created for you.

GREEN WITH ENVY BLOG HOP PART 2

Welcome to part 2 of the Sassy Studio Designs Blog Hop
Green With Envy!

We all have to use green on our cards.  Since it is my favorite color that wasn't too hard.

You should have arrived here from the lovely and talented Mary!  If you have stumbled upon this hop don't worry you can go back and start at the beginning over at Sassy Studio Designs.  Lindsay is having some computer issues this month so there are no new images.  Instead we are all picking out our favorite image to give to you.  All you have to do is leave a comment and each DT will pick one person to give their image to.

This beautiful image is  Elizabeth Laura Bennett.  I have always loved this one.  She has such elegance and innocence to her.  There are so many gorgeous images to choose from but this one has been my favorite since she was put up in the store.  I've colored her with Copic and Whisper Strokes markers and added some Stickles and Glossy Accents.  The sketch comes from

The die cut is from Our Daily Bread, punch from Martha Stewart, Tim Holtz Distress Ink, Ribbon from Offray and stash & pearls from Want 2 Scrap.  The rest all came from my stash and I'm not sure about where it came from.

I hope you are enjoying the hop.  There is still one more to go.  Your next stop is the extremely talented Rebecca!  She is also my sister and I think she is fabulous!  She's got an amazing candy offer going on too.  Don't forget to leave a comment and if you've gotten lost at all I have the entire hop just below.

Thank you for visiting and I hope you have a spectacular day!

THANK YOU

Just recently at church we had a program for our young women called "New Beginnings".  It is designed to introduce the 11 year old girls into our young women's program.  They will enter when they turn 12.  We make a real big deal out of it.

We had two people who helped so much to make it a perfect night.  One lady made us a cake for the girls.  It was fabulous.  She makes wedding cakes for a living and this one was so good.  The other is a young women that will be leaving us soon as she will be graduating from high school this year.  She decorated the room we were in just beautifully.  It was just such a beautiful night.

Both of these women deserve so much for this effort.  This is just a small token of appreciation, a thank you card that we will have everyone sign for them.  I hope they enjoy it.

I used some new things I got from my wonderful sister to make this.  The stamps are from Our Daily Bread, Stampendous and Bo Bunny.  The die cut is also from Our Daily Bread.  I used embossing powder from Whispers and the metal corners are from Momenta.  The papers are Core 'dinations and some generic.

These are the challenges I have entered:

Joanna Sheen - Black & white
Craft Us Crazy #36 - Use your cutting machine
Stampin' For The Weekend - Something metal

CRAFTING WHEN WE CAN #37

This has been a very rough week.  I can't seem to shake this cold and with the weather changing from the 60's to the teens in one day I'm not sure I will shake it for a while.  I've been struggling with this challenge also.  I am totally out of my comfort zone in dealing with boys.  Both my kids are girls.  In essence I have very little experience with what boys like or much about them.  This is a very simple card yet I think I've spent more time contemplating it than any other card I have ever done.

So welcome to another fortnightly challenge at

CRAFTING WHEN WE CAN!

Our challenge is "Slugs and Snails and Puppy Dog Tails".  We are being sponsored by Kenny K.
