YOU INSPIRE ME

Has it been 2 weeks already?  I guess so because we are here again with another challenge for you at Crafting When We Can.  We are sponsored by A Random Fan.

Our challenge is "Oodles of Doodles".  I am not a doodler so this was a difficult start for me.  My wonderful sister Rebecca had to help me out with ideas.

When I saw my image I thought she just had to have pink hair.  As an artist I thought she should have some expression in her clothes also.  So I colored my image up and took it to my sister.  She had this wonderful paper to go with it.

Her idea was to doodle on the little insects.  So here is what I did.

I used a bunch of gel pens that she had and a black sharpie to doodle on the paper.  Then added some swirls on the image.  She also loaned me this wonderful die to use.  I thought I should add a bit of it to the inside as well.

I tried a new technique I am not comfortable with.  I used a Whisper Strokes marker to do a water color technique.  I put some ink on my mat and used a water brush to dilute it, then brushed it onto the background of the image.  I'm a real fan of fussy cutting my images so I don't have to do the background of it.  Then I used the marker straight on the edges of the die cut.

The painting she is making is actually a blank canvas.  I tried to stamp the tulip using a Martha Stewart stamp but it did not work very well so I ended up just coloring it myself.  As you can see I'm not a very good artist....LOL.

I hope you will hop over to the Crafting When We Can blog and check out all the other fabulous creations done by my wonderful DT sisters.  See you in the challenge.  You have two weeks to get it done so lets get going!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY CARA

Welcome to another fabulous challenge at

We are sponsored by

She has the cutest digis.  I just love that little frog too.
Our challenge this fortnight is "Bright Colors".  I love bright colors.  I use them all the time.  I think they make the cards just POP.

This image is called Lizabeth Rockabilly.  I think she is so pretty.  I picked her to do a special birthday card for my niece Cara.  Isn't she just a doll!
She likes to think so.  She is such a ham for a camera.  Cara is going to be 10 years old this month.  She is finally in double digits.  She is so excited about her birthday but upset that it is always right when school starts back up.

I hope you will visit all the other fabulous creations and then join in the challenge at Crafting When We Can.
